Packing and mailing guide

Shipping your coins or banknotes to Drake Sterling is simple. Follow these steps to ensure your coins arrive at our facility safely and securely.

  1. Wrap up your coins or notes in bubble wrap. Do not use tape directly on the items. If you are shipping coins you have sold us, include 1) a copy of your photo ID, which displays your residential address, and 2) the bank details you’d like us to remit the funds to.

  2. Place the bubble-wrapped items into a sturdy box or padded bag, making sure nothing can move around loosely inside. Put banknotes between hard pieces of cardboard.

  3. Seal the box or padded bag with masking tape.

  4. Print either a Parcel Post with Signature or Express Post with Signature label from the Australia Post website, or visit your local post office and ask them to print the label for you. For a fee, we can also email you a label to print and attach to your parcel. Our shipping address is:

    Drake Sterling

    GPO Box 2913

  5. Lodge the parcel at the post office and ask for a “lodgement receipt” as proof that you have left the item with the post office.

  6. Once we collect your parcel, we’ll check its contents and let you know whether everything is in order.
