It’s not often that we get Victorian half sovereigns in Mint State in stock. The present coin, photographed above, is the first 1900P half sovereign in PCGS MS62 we’ve had the pleasure of offering since 2018, and one of the nicest veiled head half sovereigns we’ve had in stock ever. It’s surprisingly well-struck for a Perth coin, and has good reflectivity in the fields too. In fact, at first blush the coin appears to be in better grade; only upon a closer viewing does one identify the odd mark or spot that makes the grade.
