In what is turning out to be an annual event, MMTC Pamp, under licence from the Royal Mint, has issued the latest addition to the popular Indian sovereign series. Minting of the 2015 issue appears to have only just begun, and the coins don’t appear to have been issued outside of India in any official way: Neither the Royal Mint (UK) nor US dealers appear to have these coins in stock at the moment. Previous issues have been quite popular, and they generally trade at a large premium to the gold price. I have secured a very small number of these coins, all in their original red card holders and bearing the “I” mintmark. They are available at AU$600 + shipping. I also plan to have some graded by PCGS at some point. There is currently a limit of two per customer, and numbers are limited, so if you are interested, please email or call.
